ももいろクローバーZや私立恵比寿中学などが所属する、スターダストプロモーションが満を持して送り出す特殊部隊、3B junior（スリービージュニア）総勢26名の中から飛び出したアイドルユニットで、内山あみ、内藤るな、椎名るか、高井千帆、平瀬美里の5人組。 「ROCK A JAPONICA」という名前の通り、JAPONICA(日本固有の)をROCKする（揺り動かす、刺激する、感動させる）という意味が込められており、アイドルに限らず日本の音楽シーン、またそれ以上に日本全体を刺激すべく活動をスタート！
